My soft side quest is actually starting my own substack! So now I have a creative outlet to work on while I’m napped trapped by my baby VS doom scrolling the whole time.

Welcome to the dark side of creativity girl! It’s the best side. I’ve been writing on subject for a while, and I have a TikTok that I also used to promote my Substack and it’s been such a wonderful creative outlet versus doom scrolling. Thanks for sharing!

I’m so obsessed with this. It’s so refreshing to hear another mom be like YEAH OK my glow up did not go according to plan this week but that’s okay! I love the concept of these little acts of self care as “side quests” too. Agreed that it totally adds a layer of whimsy in.

I hope you and your household stays sickness free for the winter now! 🤍

I Like your point of view and the time you take to create. Your three points are mine right now too although I do notice I get sidetracked with my morning facial routine - thank you for the reminder. The days with little ones are so fleeting but also so full and I love reading and writing about motherhood too. ❤️

What did you create with the things in the picture?

Thank you so much! I hope you find lots of beauty and magic in the days with your little ones but also for yourself. This isn’t my photo, it’s a beautiful stock photo I found that I felt represented everything in the article beautifully, but I wish it were mine. It’s from an app called Dupe if you want to check it out.

Oh thank you. I sometimes use the stock photos from Substack here too they are so much better than mine anyway. I currently talk a lot about crafting lanterns from paper in my posts, it’s a tradition from my home country. It also uses watercolor. My daughter and I are almost finished with her pentagon one. They are super neat.
